Yes it is a very real point first no gamers almost be a 4k 80 inch tv today... So anything above 1080p on a 50+ tv is useless... And no matter how you put it I have had my PC hooked up to my tv for more than decade got anything from the 300 bucks piece of crap to the 3000 bucks rig hooked up and it is still unerly nerdy, not wife or social friendly compared to any media/game box hardware... And the gain in performance on a 1080p tv is minimal compared to the inconvenience and the total lack of ergonomic of of the input mean and UI navigation with a living room setup... The only interest I see in PC gaming is if you have a beast with a 3 screen ultra HD low latency display set up
and I do game on PC btw.. Just RTS, and indie survival horror games...
