Hi guys, i thought it would be interesting to compare the PS4's sales with those of the Wii.
Now there are a few things to keep in mind here: The Wii launched on November 19 in North America, two weeks later in Japan and one week after that in Europe and others. Playstation 4 launched on November 15 in North America and two weeks later in Europe and others.
This means:
- Wii had a few days less of sales before the holidays and a week less in Europe.
- Playstation 4 has not launched in Japan yet.
The numbers are global sales, the weeks are the number of weeks after launch with number from VGChartz. This means Wii starts from the week endig 25th of November 2006, PS4 starts from the week ending 16th of November 2013 :

So far Playstation 4 seems to be leading. To be honest, i never expected a home console to sell faster than the combo of motion controls and Wii sports but it seems like Playstation 4 might have a chance.
