Blu-ray set a new sales record in black friday week. It's still behind dvd but catching up.

For the week ending 12/14/13, consumers generated $127.10 million in Blu-ray disc revenue, up 15.7% from the same week last year. The previous record for Blu-ray disc revenue set during Black Friday was $119.15 million. During the same week, DVD revenue was $203.04 million, down 15.2% from the same period last year.

Total spending for the week ending 12/14/13 was down 5.48% from the same week the previous year.

Now with both HD consoles putting blu-ray players in homes will blu-ray grow faster?
