Usually, Christmas Eve is the big celebration, with the big dinner and gift exchange with the relatives/extended family and a late night of games and booze. Christmas day is much more laid back, waking up at noon, eating leftovers or pizza delivery and exchange of gifts within the immediate family.. And usally more booze.
