I don't know about stores but in shopping centres I've noticed a lot of Xbox One adverts in the electronic display boards around the place (this is in Australia), and next to none for the PS4, so it definitely seems MS are spending big on advertising (understandably). Could be similar in stores through retailer margin incentives.

Actually yesterday I saw at bigw that they are selling the Xbox One at $578 (its usually $599 in Aus) whilst the PS4 is still $548, so maybe MS is offering more retailer margin that Sony, which BigW are passing on to the customer to get more sales. Its definitely the first time I've seen either console sell for less than the official price.
