the gameplay just felt amazing. However the only things that The Last Of Us lack is replaybility in campaign. Once you finish it,there is no point in playing it again. It not like your next playthrough will have different experience.

Just my opinion, but the thing about "amazing" gameplay, is that even after 30 years you can still enjoy playing that. So Super Mario Bros original game, or Pac-Man or whatever got you into "gaming"... that had amazing gameplay.

If you can no longer stand the "gameplay" after playing a game just once... then you really just liked it for the "experience/story" and NOT for the gameplay.

On The Last of Us... I would agree that it is a great cinematic journey, and delivers a strong emotional impact on the player that completes it, but lets not credit the games sub-30fps sub-par shooting sections and relatively decent survival horry type gameplay sections as "amazing".

I personally felt as though the gameplay was amazing, the shooting sections were amazing, and the stealth elements were amazing, so lets not credit your last statement as universal truth for all involved.  I also couldn't give two shits less who wins game of the year because at the end of the day, everyone is going to have a game that they feel is their true goty, which is all that really matters.  I just hate when people such as yourself make statements that you feel apply to everyone else's opinion of the game.

Every element of the last of us is amazing imo, and to further that, I dont believe there has ever been a game that has left a greater, longer lasting impression on me than this one did.  This is why it is the greatest game ever made in my book, because for the first time since metal gear solid 4, I finally recaptured that feeling I had when I would pop in final fantasy IX when I was 13, or legend of legaia, or any number of great classics that would immerse me in ways no other form of entertainment could.  Its the perfect mix of old and new, while presenting itself in a way that most games dream of.  I absolutely love GTA V, but I cannot say that it is a better game than the last of us.
