The thing I loved the most about the Wii was its selection of quality casual games like Wii Sports Resort. I'm of an age that spending 20 hours gaming over the weekend is not really going to happen too often - for me, gaming is about spending maybe 20 minutes here and there doing something fun.

I want a good golf game (similar to Tiger Woods) that makes use of the Balance Board, something with the mechanics of the Sports Resort's table tennis, maybe a tennis game, and of course a good racing game (I'm playing Most Wanted at the moment and it rocks!). I'm not too interested in esoteric party games - I just want to pick up something I'm relatively familiar with (like sports) and have some fun.

I know Nintendo is releasing HD versions of Sports Resort on the e-shop at the moment, but it is filtering through slowly. Also, I fear these are just HD remakes - I want them to add to the games, and make it more fun and immersive.

I think Nintendo should continue catering for their "core" market with Donkey Kong and Mario, but I feel that they've left the casuals out too much.

I totally see where you are coming from, and I fee they somewhat accomplish this with the 3DS, but not yet with the Wii U. I just don't see Nintendo releasing the kind of games you're looking for.
