These arguments about the various persona games (though understandable) are just a little too fixed on the individual wants on the people making them in my opinion, cynical though it can sound it is true that Atlus are simply using their IPs to the maximum and building on top of established games to create new titles which will sell reasonably well and will be inexpensive to make.

The fact that they're not what you wanted or you feel they're on the wrong platform is a feeling I can understand, but sometimes you have to accept that this is a business and that this isn't the first or last time someone has felt or will feel screwed over by a company - it comes with being a gamer unfortunately

The key here is that Atlus is a small company with limited resources - the EO team is not very big I'd imagine and therefore a port would be either inconvenient or expensive if they had to outsource it and so PQ on 3DS only is understandable.

Also I expect they're hoping for some cross fertilization by using the more famous persona IP to attract more people to an EO-type game, hopefully meaning that future EO games will be more popular.

The final thing to remember is that although Atlus are small, their quality is consistent and so I expect even P4Dancing to be a good game even if it's not everyone's cup of tea - at the end of the day I expect all 4 games to be good and if you don't like the fact that a vita RPG wasn't one of them, my advice is to wait and see. An enhanced version of P5 is an inevitability and the film means that an ultimate P3 is also likely. Also, given how well P4G did on vita, I don't think we've been abandoned just yet, so look on the bright side

Oh, and one last thing, how come no-one complained about SMT4 being on vita? (I can't remember this level of butthurt)
