Why would 1 million Xbox 1 sales be less than 1 million PS4 sales? Xbox 1 basically sold out of their initial stock. If Sony decided to launch in multiple countries, they would probably sell out their initial stock as well. This is why people are saying that the current stock cannot match the demand during launch. The downplaying comes when people are saying that the Xbox 1 sales are less impressive because they launch in more territories than the PS4. That is ridiculous because the current sales are mainly limited by the supply. I haven't seen any say that PS4 would have sold only 1 million if they launch in multiple countries.
If PS4 has more supply than the Xbox 1, then of course it is going to sell more at launch. So no, people saying that sales numbers are supplied constraint are not downplaying PS4 sales.

They did not sell their initial stock.. all evidence points to far greater demand for PS4....trying to tpin it otherwise is foolishness. PS4 will be double x1 next week.

Yea, so still no credible link to MS saying what you claim. The link to the forum post has nothing but an overpriced Xbox One bundle in stock which people are will to pay $1000 for. There is also a post in there saying that Walmart has PS4s available. The futureshop link says it is sold out and cannot be reserved. So you offer nothing but baseless claims and a link to futureshop that disproves yourself. Thanks, that all I need to know about possible futher discussion with you.

If you actually read the thread...nevermind. It's right on major nelsons twitter...........There is a huge diff selling 1 million 1 NA versus 13 territories.. PS4 is cheaper and in higher demand, that is simply fact. MS knew they would never match sony's day 1 sales, so they spread their launch over 13 territories so they could say day 1 they sold 1 mill also. And of course MS fans will use that as spin. NExt week the ps4 jumps ahead for good. IF they both had unlimited stock, and launched the same day PS4 would have sold considerably more.
Ms also has plenth in stock on the MS store...not sold out.
