Stupid move.
Primesense (or more specifically the technology behind it) is on the way to the graveyard (ever wondered why MS didn't care at all about the company or the technology behind it?). The times when you had to pay $10'000 for a 320*240 tof camera are over by now. More and more semiconductor factories are jumping on the tof camera train by now. Prices have fallen to a few hundred $ for the chips, offered from smaller companies. And the XBox One tof is a whopping 500*400. Considering tof >>>> Speckle projector as far as speed is concerned, Apple is investing in a dying technology.
