#47 - Gravity Rush (Kudos to no-one for guessing this)

One of three games I bought my PS Vita for, which turned out to be every bit as good as I had hoped it would be.  You control an amnesiac girl named Kat and her pet... cat dusty as she floats through a foreign city.

What GR absolutely nails is mixing an incredibly enjoyable gameplay mechanic with a light, enjoyable narrative tying everything together (a theme which is prevelant throughout many games in my top 50).  Controlling Kat is difficult to get to grips with at first, but by the end of the game you'll get the hang of soaring through Hekseville while picking up gems and doing tasks for townsfolk.

I won't lie that I can understand the criticisms that the game left as many doors open as it closed by the ending, but that doesn't take away any of the enjoyment I got from this title.  Definitely a fantastic reason to own a Vita and a game whose sequel I am truly genuinely looking forward to.
