Overall numbers don't paint a good picture for the industry quite honestly.

Sales of Call of Duty are down YOY by 50% including PS4 sales, Battlefield 4 and Assassin's Creed 4 sales are down over YOY by 60% in their respective debut weeks as well.... Hmmm

Meanwhile: GTA was the biggest entertainment hit since Michael Jackson.

Yes, GTA accomplished a great feat; however, it sucked alot of money out of the industry which in turn affected the performance of Call of Duty, Battlefield and Assassin's Creed - they are suffering, which in turn will affect the publishers revenue. Furthermore, all of the mentioned 3 titles had some of the biggest drops I have ever seen for AAA games in a while.

Cannot have everything perfect, especially in transition phase. If GTA V was MP with next gen consoles I bet the sales would not have been so great either. All of those games (according to what Vgchartz guesses) are doing decently on next gen. I do not expect retail spend YoY to be to bad for November.
