I have a feeling that Nintendo simply gave up and is trying to maintain afloat with the games on development. They expected to have better third party support, but did almost nothing to gain it.

It was like the company believes just for the sake of being the Wii succesor it will sell well, putting their fingers in their ears and saying lalalala everytime it was pointed the bad predecessor's sales the last 2 years (2011-2012).

2014 line up seems like will try to cater for the Nintendo fan with DK, SSB, MK, Yoshi and maybe Zelda. They need as many games as possible to try to survive but it is and will be a disaster.

Don't be so pessimistic man! The Wii U will recover! It won't be a disaster, I could bet you a cookie that the Wii U will break the 50 million mark! (Which is really good considering how it looks now!).
