That said, the PlayStation and N64 were very close considering how the former was a 1994 piece of hardware and the latter was from 1996. I described this in another thread a while back, but Nintendo consoles are usually only not the weakest of their generation if released later on, like how the SNES was released two years after the Genesis and the GameCube a year after the PS2.
