If it made economic sense for the PS4 to be made in Brazil then Sony would be doing that.

And this kind of protectionism will only lead to other nations having better justification for their own retaliatory actions harming the Brazilian export market and making things worse for everyone.

Not to mention the Xbox One is still absurdly more expensive in Brazil than other nations because of Brazil's other taxes. Brazil is a bit of a contradiction as they are a developing nation with the PPP of their money being less than the standard global purchasing power.

Not sure what you are refering to in Brazil, you must have missed Ethomaz thread.  Curren the Xbox One is $833 US dollars less expensive than the PS4.  The PS4 R$3.999 thats $1,833, Xbox ONE R$2.200 = $1,008 USD.

I assume the price will drop by approximately 40% or so when they Brazil manufactured ones hit the market.

Sony started making PS3's there in 2011.  I'm sure they will eventually, but right now ALL PS4's are made in China. They aren't even making them in Japan.

Note: the USA has similar protectional tarrifs on sugar and corn, which is why they put high fructose corn syrup in everything.  Cause the taxes on sugar and the subsidies for corn adjust the prices.

Really not sure I see any point of Consol over PC's since Kinect, Wii and other alternative ways to play have been abandoned.
