You: 4.4m in FY '95 and 5.8m in '96 are certainly possible

Sony: 9.2m Ps1 in FY '96 with only half of the year worth of sales in the majority of the market..

That's 9.2m PS1 in FY '97, not '96.

You would be right... if only Sony didn't change how they reported data. Fucking weird right? Fact remains, Ps1 outsold the SNES after launching world wide in '95. (I have no idea why you would report in march then may... then wait till November)
