Could have been an intersting topic , if not for lazy OP, and the title isn't trollish enough to gather some attention.

Few requirements for this to work:
- Ban majority financial instruments globally, no trade without actual product to sell;
- Stock trade deals are under regressive taxation globally, say, buy stock and trade it back within a year -- 99,9%, within 30 years -- 1%.
- Taxation to target the richest globally.
- Disobey any of the aforementioned rules -- death penalty.
Sounds like realistic? As long as you do not limit the possibility of limitless wealth accumulation, backing currency with any material goods be it gold or anything else are pointless and dangerous. Not even the worst collapse imaginable could revive monetary function of the gold.
