Interesting question, I notice during the NFL game talk on the Xbox One they talked about light reflecting through skin (like the way it really does.)

But when I usually see them release things, it usually takes about two years before you will actually see something in a game. Now, with Halo 4 winning most all of the graphics awards last year, I am sure they will be pushing Halo 5, and I think that might be the first place you actually see it.

But I think it will be at least another year or two, from now, before it starts showing up. Look at the game Crackdown from 2007, then compare it to Grand Theft Auto V. A gen will often still get better with the same hardware.

There is also much you can do with reflected light when you have a dedicated server - where you can pre calculate the light, then sent it compressed to the console and have it finish it.

Really not sure I see any point of Consol over PC's since Kinect, Wii and other alternative ways to play have been abandoned.
