I have a feeling the 9th gen consoles wont be backwards compatible when the pains of X86 architecture means they have to jump to a whole new different format, but by the time we do make that jump the architecture set up may be able to do it by sheer power like a PC.
Also you should have a look at the polls, VGchartz is full of bonafide Nintendo fans along with SonySuckers. I've never seen a fanbase as willing as they are to get consistently hoodwinked. Sony never does what they say they are going to do. Never. Microsoft has a better track record but they have other issues that are more pertinent.
So I'll only be posting in this thread for the forseeable future.
In the end all they want is something they can shove in the face of other people so that they can win an arguement or be taken seriously. Its like those people who want video games to be taken seriously so they keep trying to make them into movie like experiences with pretentious plotlines so they can shove it in societies face.
That isnt a mentality I subscribe to.It can go die in a fire.
