The last couple of years the PS3 has been selling more hardware than the 360, and also had the lead in the yearly Software chartz in September. However, the 360 always managed to outstell it due to stronger selling Triple A multiplats and Gears or Halo.
This year, it seems like the PS3 could have a shot, as it currently leads with 10 million more games sold. The 360 has no Blockbuster exclusive this year and the PS3 has at least Beyond Two Souls and Gran Turismo 6.
On the other hand, titles like CoD Ghosts and BF4 will likely sell a lot more on 360, at least till years end, regarding the fact that the 360's sales use to be more front loaded and the PS3 one's use to have better legs. Ass Creed, Watch Dogs and GTA V could also sell more on 360.
