No. Go to any history site or video, third parties never bullied Nintendo. They left Nintendo for Sony because Sony gave them the format with more space to make bigger games. That and as Sonys console got enough top level games the console expanded the marketshare of the industry. Sony and Microsoft sell their consoles at a loss to push the tech and multimedia. This ushered in an era where PC developers took notice and wanted in on the console profitability, because they were increasing the specs of said console. It has nothing to do with paywalls, if Nintendo had higher specs the Wii U would be on their radar if it sold. I see you ignored where I told you that Epic told Nintendo they should just use Unreal 3 for their games instead of 4 (even though its still possible to use 4) because they see no point in them using it. You guys ignore these things. I wasn't trashing Nintendo, I like Nintendo games, but thats the damn truth. You're just very defensive. The only issue I've ever had with Nintendo was the Wii era. Watch this series, Your History Belongs to Us which focuses on the rise and fall of Nintendo only to rise again with the Wii. Its a sourced history youtube show for videogames and covers games, developers and publishers. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c0gNaUib4UU Each part is like 10:15 minutes. |
Where did I say 3rd parties bullied Nintendo? I said that they bully MS/Sony, thats why they like to develop for them instead. Hence the paywalls.
And the 3ds argument is what I was referring to about companies still making games for it even though it is inferior spec wise to the Vita. Although they couldn't delvelop their true "vision" of the game on such inferior hardware, I guess they will just have to settle for a dumbed down, good enough version on 3ds.
My point is marketshare will always trump specs, and they always have, every generation.
It is rather amusing seeing you call someone else defensive lol.
