Will good holiday 2013 sales from the Wii U help bring 3rd party games to the system next year?

i just cant figure why thirds skiped GC.
there was power, little price, CD, tradictional controller, mature nintendo games(so, its a more mature console than wii for example)...
bad sales? xbox got the same amount.
