Betting on the Wii U selling 23 million consoles next year is pretty nuts. The 3DS hasn't managed that. The Wii barely managed that its best year, and that was a bit cheaper than the Wii U and had way more momentum. And so far all we know about the Wii U's lineup for 2014 is Mario Kart, Smash Bros, and a few niche games. That's a lot, but it's not enough. We don't have enough information yet to predict next year's sales for Wii U, or for any 8th-gen console. We certainly don't have enough information to predict the course of the entire upcoming generation.
