I disagree. Mods should be able to post opinions, as long as they themselves don't break the rules. What's the fun in being a mod if you can't post? And having a mod have two names, one under which he posts, one under which he mods, can lead to some very very bad things. There needs to be full disclosure anytime a mod takes action, be that locking a thread, suspending a user, or banning a user.
