The comparative tests carried out in the article feel incomplete. He's only looking at a few aspects of the chips and not taking into accounts factors like the number of ROPs in the two chips and doesn't really go into anywhere near enough detail about the memory bandwidth.
Personally I think it's be better if they continued this with more comparisons that take each of these variables into account.
