As of right now, honestly the wii u doesn't look like it's worth the 300-350 when the ps4 is $400. It's almost insulting. There aren't really any games out on it now either. If I get it, it won't be until a nice price drop of around $200-250 and with some games.

Edit: I loved the gc and n64. I had them with my ps1 and 2.

I'm definitely not paying all that money for it, especially since I care not for the tablet and it is underpowered relative to other next gen systems. And when you look at it the cost just keeps going up and up with that system since I would have to buy a pro controller (or two for friends) and a HDD since the 32GB would be quickly utilized when you consider things like patches, updates, dlc, stand alone (new) games, VC games, etc. I will take my sweet time and monitor my Amazon cart daily if I have to, but I am not paying full price for it. I am hoping there will be a deal for it akin to the SWEET deal the Vita had last Black Friday. I bought the Vita in a heart beat at 200 with AC3 L, PSASBR and $10 Amazon credit. If there's a similar deal I'll consider it, but as you pointed out there are no killer apps for the system this year. Zelda WW ... been there done that. Mario 3D Land ... not a 'must have' from the looks of it and everything else of note has the '2014' label. None of the launch games interest me, especially since the Mario game is more of the same really.

N64 and GC were boss systems. Loved them equally along with their respective PS counterparts, but differently. N64 and GC were my multiplayer consoles while PS were mostly for PS. Funny how the times have changed since Nintendo dropped the ball with respect to their online infrastructure coupled with the poor third party support they've been receiving. Now I see myself playing PS4 more for multi (and single player too), but the Wii U mostly for single player.

Ya, the tablet doesn't interest me in the least bit either. So there goes the main selling point of it without the games. As for the specs, ya they are pretty weak compared to the x1 and ps4. I wish nin would go the route of the n64 and gc with the power game. The wii def wasn't in the same gen as the ps3 and 360 spec wise. Then again the motion controls paid off big time for nin. The wii u however isn't doing that by any stretch of the imagination. It also just isn't the console for online gaming like you stated.
