The lineup is certainly promising, but such a turnaround won't be as likely for the Wii U. Sales will be boosted, no doubt, but the 3DS also had the benefit of having its only direct competitor completely languishing due to mistakes made by its own manufacturer, not to mention coming off a DS brand that was still selling strongly.
By contrast, the Wii brand is in the shitter, and the U is going up against not only the 360 and PS3 this holiday, but two very competent-looking new consoles with very strong lineups.
And Mario 3D World will do nothing for system sales considering anyone who would buy it for that already bought it for a multiplayer Mario already bought it for NSMBU.
