Since the game is practically perfect and there is no real reason to hate it, unless you have some deeply rooted desire to put it down, i thought lets make this thread for these kind of people to enjoy.

- Joel is an idiot, he wears a broken watch throughout the game, even after someone has specifically mentioned it to him, he even looks at it from time to time.

- There is no possibility to comunicate with the infected and humans in meaningful way to resolve conflicts in a peaceful way. A terrible oversight by the developers.

- The homosexual charackter is completely unrealistic, he should wear some colorful clothes, speak in a gay voice and shove his sexual orientation into everyones face not later then 20 seconds after meeting him.

what are your reasons to hate the game?

Practically perfect?  The Last of Us is a good game but it's far from perfect.  The only reason it's gettig 9's and 10's is because it's a highly anticipated exclusive from a very respected developer.  The Uncharted series definately deserves its praise, no-so-mch this game.  It's a solid 8 to an 8.5

- First off, we all know about the wonky and silly AI.  It's beyond bad to see Ellie running right into a clicker or have your buddies yell at you to be quiet as an infected stares right at them.  It's better than the alternative, but it's still pretty bad.  Before you rush to defend this game, ask yourself if you saw that kind of behavior in any other non-highly anticipated game, how hard would you crucify that game?

- Not only did the infected and buddy AI have issues, human AI had issues too.  I constantly ran into issues with them going in and out of cover or just running in circles.  I've also seen a lot of talk about how smart the AI is which is just odd.  Every single human AI can be beaten by just running in a circle.  It's competent but not amazing.

- buggy buggy buggy.  This is one of the buggier games I've seen in a while.  I'm not talking about the things mentioned above, I've had bugs where I'm attacked by invisible enemies, enemies sometime disappear, levels disappear, sometimes enemies are immune to bullets, animation issues, and much more.

- The clicker encounters are awful.  The encounters where there are just a lot of awake clickers in an area and you have to sneak past them are one of the most unfun things I've ever played.  Period.  I like a hard game like Dark Souls where when I die, I know why I died and I know how to fix that.  In The Last of Us, clickers act randomly so I have no lessons learned.  Sometimes I can quickly sneak right past one, other times I'm not even touching the contoller and they hear me from a room away.  These encounters are some of the worst things I've seen in gaming in the last 10 years.

Those are my big issues with the game.  Like I said, I liked it.  The story was great, and the characters were all incredible.  As far as story and presentation of that story, the game gets a 10/10, but the rest brings it down.  Even when I'm not playing a terrible clicker encounter, the general gameplay just doesn't stay interesting after 18 hours, I only continued because of the story.  You'd think that after Ellie and Joel had been together for an entire year that he'd find a nice flooded area (since everything seems to be flooded) and teach her to swim because I was going to hurt somebody if I had to solve another one of those wooden pallete puzzles.

I don't regret buying the game and spending 18 hours on it, it's just insane that so many people are calling it a 10/10 on nothing other than hype.  Naughty Dog made another great game, but people need to calm down a little.
