Following a new demo for Rockstar Games’ Grand Theft Auto V and new details that have come out regarding the same, a Reddit user posted a bunch of other details from the demo that is, as he states, “the info they talked about holding back in the original review”.

Some of these include crazies and hillbillies living in the North of the map, and “blurring the line” with on and off missions. Cargo planes were also spotted taking off over the water from a military base. Even more interestingly, it appears that one of the protagonists Franklin is working both sides of the law, with speculation being that he’s FBI.

Another interesting detail about the scale: When Franklin jumps out of a chopper in the demo, it takes 3 minutes to reach the ground. Also, the beach area in which Franklin awakens next to all the unconscious/dead members of the Lost motorcycle gang is the South East area of the map.

When switching between the characters, a Google Earth-esque animation showing a zoom-out to a satellite and zooming back in to the character of your choice takes place. This is to mask a loading time of roughly 15 to 20 seconds.

One of the boats taken in the demo has music from Trevor’s trailer, along with the line, “Are you sure Hank did it this way”. Which we’re sure references something.

When diving underwater, you’ll have an ambient score, and also be able to hear the character breathing. Some boats will also carry scuba gear in case you’re in the mood for deep sea diving after jacking some one’s rig.

The game world is said to have featured lots of car horns downtown and plenty of ambient noises. This is good news since one of the concerns with earlier demos was that there weren’t enough cars present. You can also pay a few bucks to take the Vinewood Tour buses. There will be dynamic missions in the game, but they will be specific to different times, locations and characters.

Pamela Drake, a Vinewood celebrity and one time actress with her best days behind her, had this to say during the demo: “They wrote A Slut in Paris just for me. For me. The producers would wine me and dine me and do me on the couch. Things were very different in my day. Do you remember war and the exchange? Now listen to me Mr Schilling face. I don’t don’t give a —? whether you like it or not.”

And let’s not forget Impotent Rage, who sends a message to the player’s phone to say, “I’m completely crazy here. I am Impotent Rage. Get me excited then I get crazy, get me crazy then I get excited.” We already know you can photos in the game and upload them to Social Club, but Rockstar also has their own Internet and Social Media in-game.

It’s also currently speculated that the Republican Space rangers may have their own phone app in-game.

Grand Theft Auto V is currently slated to release on September 17th for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
