I personally think it's alright as long as you have a good enough reason. And to me, thinking that the direction a product is going would negatively affect the industry as a whole or send it down a path you would hate is a decent reason. I honestly never liked motion controls and while I didn't want them to die off completely I certainly didn't want them to be so successful that they became the controls for the majority of games. Wanting the XBone to fail seems similar to me if you believe that its success would open the door to every publisher doing the same.
That said, your desires are probably too fervent in this instance.
