This is it. They aren't going to impose any NEW restrictions, but the publishers can and have always been able to do whatever they want. The PC is seen as the most open platform, but EA and others have imposed restrictions. But look at what happened with Ubi's PC games, they have backtracked from their previous DRM because it was just unpopular

redemption codes (or opt out of restrictions altogether pretty much means they won't do anything different is what i take. It's just up to the publishes to do what they want online.
