Xbox live got over 40 million subscribers, most of which are paid subscribers.

Which paid online service do you know of that have as many paid subscribers or have as many features.

That's my point, there are none because they are now all free.

PSN has caught up with XBL in selection of quality, games, deals, services such as Netflix, internet browsing, etc. over the years and now Nintendo is catching up as well. Also I don't have to mention what you get with Steam on PC. While you don't get features like Netflix or whatnot, it's gaming "features" are unmatched.

With more features coming to a (hopefully free) PSN, MS needs to prove that subscription is worth it.
