Nintendo is realizing established third parties is close to a lost cause. Not only does this demonstrates their willingness not just to help small devs establish themselves but build a more personal relationship with them as well; hopefully during this process Nintendo may find the next Rare, or even the next Retro.
...or Nintendo is just desperate.
