I live in Toronto Canada, and I've travelled around USA and Canada quite a bit, but I haven't been everywhere. Plus it seems like every place I go has pro's and cons. Florida and California might be nice and warm, but they are way too hot in the summer, and too prone to hurricanes/earthquakes. I was wondering what the best place in USA/Canada is according to North Americans.

Please list both pros and cons of your favorite place.

Right now I'm thinking Chicago/Seattle/Vancouver are the best places to live. Not too hot, not too cold, beautiful cities close to a large body of water. Vancouver especially is so close to the Rockies, but I hear it's still fairly Earthquake prone.

I live in Toronto, It's nice here too, but because of the Great Lakes it's too Humid. It's hot in the summer, but not burning, not too cold in the Winter, I actually wish it was colder because we don't get much snow here. Plus we generally have good weather here, no hurricanes or earthquakes ,however there is just too much traffic, and our beaches aren't as nice as those in Chicago/Florida.

So, what's the best place to live in North America?
