No, it got the exact amount of episodes most shows get when they premiere in January.
When shows premiere in September/ October, they get 22 - 25 episodes on the 4 main broadcast networks - ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox. Usually the networks air 9 - 11 episodes in the Fall (Sept - Dec) and then leave the remaining episodes for the Spring.
Cable shows work differently though.
