Quote: The next Xbox will allow publishers to decide if their games should require an internet connection to be played.

Sounds like it leaves it up to the publishers for always on needed for games.

Quote: Under Microsoft's current guidelines, which may still be changed, the decision of whether a game will require an internet connection to work and if that is a one-time authentication or a constant connection, will be left up to individual publishers.

Interesting!!!!

If true, It looks like EA will be going Bankrupt when no one buys their games next gen!

SimCity online sells 1.1 million in first two weeks

"EA will be going Bankrupt" Yeah riiiiiiight!!!!!

but thats a PC game, Consoles on the other hand is a whole different thing

Huh!!!!

Please explain how different they are?

Okay pc games require a pc which most liikely has to have online to function, so an always online game wouldn't affect that class of gamers,

while on the other hand I'd say 50% of console gamers dont have online thus thats a huge problem
