PS4 gpu is heavily tailored to whatever it needs to do in the cpu/gpu/memory controllers/video compander processor ecosystem. Lots of generic stuff in 78xx's simply does not exist, other stuff not in a conventional pc-gpu are included (direct command bus, for example). My guess is the gpu will occasionally perform above 7870 levels given the stuff it might contain, so any "it is like a xxxxx" isn't really meaningful. |
Yeah... PS4 GPU have added 6x ACE and 6x Queue Pipelines... 8x8 instead 2x2 of Pitcairn.
