Pretty much. Still this isn't the first person to get fired because they put something stupid up on a social website. And when you are Microsoft and everybody always has an eye on you and then one of your employees makes the company look bad and insults customers (Whether it be a joke or not) they have to do something about it. It sucks but it is business. Hopefully he will find another job soon.
I do agree with users saying people over reacted though. People need to relax a little bit.
