First off, that post I reposted here of a gaf user is not for you per se..just an additional bit of info for everyone to see. Didn't want to put it in a seperate post
and they SHOULD make a move when multiple sources keep repeating this. This is NOT good.
And finally, unless MS was going to drop out of the console business even the general public would know there will be more consoles etc from MS in the future. Making a general statement about their future vision does absolutely no harm, in fact it will help improve the buzz leading up to the nextbox reveal.
on an added note: why do you keep missing the point I'm making and randomly talking about things I never said. MS doesn't have to say don't worry guys always online is a no no in the future lol and I have REPEATEDLY told you the kind of statement they can make. And what are you going on about with comments like 'you think gamers won't know it's about 720' etc etc..I mean who gives a shit? You make it sound like some CIA secret about WMDs or something. Gamers KNOW 720 is coming. It will surprise no one. A simple PR statement can do a lot of good easing conserns leading up to the reveal that's all.
