He seems very misinformed. Yeah, development tools weren't very great in the past for other Playstation consoles but look at Playstation 4. IT IS BEING MADE IN AMERICA. A FIRST FOR SONY.
Also look at how the console was designed. They consulted developers and asked them what they wanted.
I also find it funny how he praises Xbox Live Arcade despite how bad it has become for indie developers and how they're all moving on to Sony platforms.
