You want us to add videos aye?

I liked that he was bitching about the time to boot the system and that it would take too long to turn on the TV while waiting for it to boot.  Apparently, this guy never tried to hit the TV button on the gamepad before or during system boot..  After hearing that I just stopped watching.

Counted the time to boot system to get to main selection screen - 20 secs.  I highly doubt the PS3 or 360 boots that much faster, and even if it did who fucking cares about 2-5 secs more on a system boot.

Who cares? this is meant to be Next gen! my 10 year old computer boots up faster than that!!

Like he said, it is a hot mess!

Anyway if you think people are ''hating'' for no apparent reason, just look at how many reasons people can some up to explain why the system is selling so bad:

It has no games, it's to expensive, it's a next gen console with current gen specs, the name is bad, it has bad marketing, the controller is a gimmick, the controller is to big and uncomfortable, nobody wants a tablet controller, it has no mass market appeal, it boots to slow etc. etc.

And that is not me hating, just look up any weekly or monthly sales discussion and you will see these arguments come around again and again. More importantly i haven't really seen people make any positive remarks concerning the system except for the games that they are expecting to be released in the future(almost all Nintendo franchises wich are released on any Nintendo console so that alone can never make it a good system, not compared to other Nintendo consoles at least). Now that's not healthy for a new game console.

By no means would I consider you a hater for this.  For this

It has no games, it's to expensive, it's a next gen console with current gen specs, the name is bad, it has bad marketing, the controller is a gimmick, the controller is to big and uncomfortable, nobody wants a tablet controller, it has no mass market appeal, it boots to slow etc. etc.

I say, Launches have few games and Wii U has a lot, it's cheap for being the only device that streams real time HD gameplay, nextgen horsepower has reached a ceiling of diminishing returns, the name is bad but what's in a name(?), i don't watch tv no comment, that's like calling analog sticks a gimmick, if the Japanese like it it's not too big and is perfectly comfortable for me, everybody wishes tablet had better graphics, family products always have mass market appeal, it boots faster than ps3 and 360...

I know you weren't arguing these points I just took it as a fun exercise.  I could come up with many reasons why the WiiU will do good but I will save for another thread.

You just proved my point regarding me stating ''More importantly i haven't really seen people make any positive remarks concerning the system''.

Also all launches have few games? How come then that almost every major title coming out this year will also release on the PS4?

And then there's one MAJOR dissadvantage from what i fear will become a huge problem for the Wii-U: It's CPU architecture. Both PS4 and the next xbox will use the X86, and so does the PC on wich every game is developed basically. This means that once PS3 en X360 are going to start losing developer support Wii-U will be the only major system using IBM Power-PC architecture. Now tell me, how many developers do you think will bother to invest alot of time and money to port their games to a completely new architecture, having to downscale and reoptimize everything in the process because Wii-U is far less powerfull, just to port that game to one system with a mediocre install base? And also knowing that most of they're previous games didn't sell well on it's predecessors? The Wii-U will(and already is) losing developer support faster than it is gaining any. And looking at it's game release schedule it doesn't have much support to lose anymore.

i dont believe (u shouldnt either) that i proved ur point. second, launches have few games and till ps4 arrives you cant tell me how many games it has (period). third, power pc can translate x86 thats why 360 is easy to work with.

so maybe you could try looking at some of Wii Us successes
