Probably a good move - I've no idea if this guy took Rare in the Kinect direction, had a lot to do with it and what his plans are - but you can't say he didn't do a good job with it. Kinect was a big success as the sports games were some of the top ones. Given that a lot of Sony's more 'casual' output is done through SCEE, a lot of the UK studio's, he's probably a great fit for getting stuff like Wonderbook to 'hit' the market like Kinect did instead of only sort of doing okay.
Maybe he moved to make good games though, who knows. This is a bit of a non story - I'm sure UK game makers swap studios all the time just this one is a story cause it's Rare, Microsoft and Sony.
