That's different. In the music industry, the artist is the primary winner as far as sales go. If Album A sells 1 million copies, then Artist A receieves a large portion of that. 

In the gaming industry, there no smoke and mirrors. Hard work, effort and talent are required to make a great game. Say Game A sells 1 million copies from a company of 50 developers. That's split between the publishers and developers, as well as many other people. 

not true, artists get at best 1$ of every record sale while the rest goes to the record company and their employees and execs, if you have a band that 1$ gets divided up even more.
