That's different. In the music industry, the artist is the primary winner as far as sales go. If Album A sells 1 million copies, then Artist A receieves a large portion of that.
In the gaming industry, there no smoke and mirrors. Hard work, effort and talent are required to make a great game. Say Game A sells 1 million copies from a company of 50 developers. That's split between the publishers and developers, as well as many other people.
