Surprise: If you thought the Wii was all out of steam, XSEED has one last game for Nintendo’s old workhorse. It’s Pandora’s Tower, the weird action role-playing game that Nintendo published in Japan and Europe but passed on for America.
The third one of those, I mean. Following Xenoblade Chronicles and The Last Story. XSEED published the latter here, and it became its biggest-selling game ever.
I played a few hours of the Japanese version back when it came out. It’s definitely an odd duck. From what I remember you have to keep venturing in and out of this tower to bring back monster meat that your cursed girlfriend has to eat, and it’s a little gross. Yep, that’s what I took away from that experience. I didn’t think this would actually even come out here, but I guess never say never. It’ll be out in the spring, no specific release date yet.
