Private schools obviously tend to be superior over public schools since they are more driven by making profits.
Anyway, I think it is a sick system where kids who have richer parents have access to superior education. They don't deserve better just because they happen to be born into a different family. The sad part though is that the public schools may be flawed in many areas and that removing one major option to avoid them might not be the best course of action.
I don't know much about the quality of home schooling, but I do think it will often cause the students' social growth to slow down greatly. Again, removing this option might not be the best course of action though since some people legitimately can't be around others for several reasons. Severe social disabilities and highly contagious sicknesses, to name some common examples.
Oh well, the world will never be perfect.
