I honestly don't see why people are bringing this up so far into this generation. May or may not be the best choice (isn't for me to decide, its your choice), but it is a very successful model. Next generation will be different. Either Gold will gain more benefits, or Sony will start charging. Microsoft and Sony both know that they're endangered by the other.
