Note: unlike many other media reports, I have decided not to reveal the teenager’s name. We all did stupid things when we were young. He’s getting his legal comeuppance and hopefully the story will deter his peers from reckless activity. But, one stupid mistake shouldn’t be a life-long sentence of public shame.

Anyone who is stupid enough to drive drunk, is not horrified that they actually hit another car while doing so, afterwards regrets nothing, and in fact calls their actions "classic" deserves as much public shame as possible. That is, assuming he has the decency to actually be ashamed.

"Stupids things" you do when you're "young" are the social faux pas you made in high school. Driving drunk and then bragging about it at the not-so-young age of 18 is disgusting, careless disregard for the lives of others (and yourself). It's beyond irresponsible or stupid; it's appalling.

i agree. mooning in a bar or flashing your tits are "stupid things you do when your young" but drunk driving isnt, whether your 18 or 45 drunk driving is the same thing, it literally puts everyone on the street in SERIOUS DANGER. it kills, literally kills. the_dengle is completely right, and i can not repsect you more my friend
