I definitely agree on a lot of your points. The choices really don't make all that much difference in the grand scheme of things, and there are some inconsistencies character wise. The story really isn't affected all that much by your choices, and that's a disappointment, but the story is so sensational, that I didn't really mind. The Walking Dead is the most engrossing, emotional, and exciting story I've ever encountered in a video game. Never in my life has a game immersed me like this, and never before has a game legitimately made me sad for days. I can't stop thinking about the game, and more importantly, the characters that I grew to care about so much.

So yes, the game didn't complete a major thing it set out to do: make a game that changes based on your decisions, and it also didn't provide any real challenge, but it did tell an extremely riveting and well thought out tale. So good was the story, that I think it unquestionably a worthy GOTY.
