Starfox Adventures was a great game but it was a shitty Starfox game. I'm okay with that. This game could be a shitty Tomb Raider but if it's still a well done game and it is successful, I am fine with that, too. The way we used to game back in the day is almost extinct. Tomb Raider has to evolve or fail to exist, too. I hope the game does succeeds.

Well, you do make some good points, but...I can say that, for example, Fallout 3 is a decent game on its own, though it can hardly be called true Fallout game -still, it managed to at least somewhat keep original's feel, although it was major shift in how game looks and plays. This reboot however seems like it has almost absolutely nothing to do with neither original, nor CD's first reboot of franchise. In my opinion, there were ways to keep TR what it always was, and bring it back to its former glory without stripping it of almost everything that defined it. But, I guess at the end, in this day and age, copying another franchise, and making Lara "warm and empathic", instead of badass she's always been, is probably much safer and easier way to do it (and just to make it clear here, I don't care much for Uncharted either, to be honest).
